About Classical Singing

In Indian Classical Singing , the very basic learning is of Alankars.

An Alankar is a combination of notes. With 7 basic notes, one can form various Alankars.

The main advantage of Classical Singing is to form your voice and complete understanding of positions of all notes. By learning various Alap and Tana (Combinations of notes) voice can move fluently from note to note.

The Hindustani music system uses different musical forms like the Dhrupad, Dhamar, Khyal, Thumari, Tarana and so on. Of these, the important ones are Dhrupad and Khyal.
